So, many people have seen our gorgeous three story big-bad-wolf-can't-blow-me-down brick house. Gorgeous right? Well, of course there is a catch. A huge one. We have lead in this casa from stem to stern. So we have to get rid of it. This is all super fun considering this law school thing and this 5,000 babies running around thing. Anyway. The county has stepped in to say they will help us with a forgivable grant for $20,000. All we have to do is a little painting. Seems simple right? Well. Kind of. I have been doing a lot of it after the girls go to bed, or sending them out for the day with papa while I work. But...time is a ticking. They could run out of money. Brendan could get a job that would not longer make us eligible. It has to be done now. So... the Keenan family needs your help. Now, don't tune out. Painting might not be your thing, but maybe baby sitting is. You see, there is always a catch. We have a laundry list of chores to do, and some cash to fix things up, but the work we need to do has to be sans-baby.
This is where you come in. We need painting teams and we need baby wrangling teams. We are going to do this work Saturday and Sunday June 16th and 17th. I will be working hard right up to that day to hopefully have not a lot of work to do. But that is purely wishful thinking. So, get your grubby clothes on, bring a brush if you have one and get put to work. The main project requires painting some walls and closets in the basement. Good news there. No perfection needed. Drip on the floor? Who cares. Get a little on the ceiling? all the better.
Each day will have two shifts: 8-noon and 1-5. From noon -1 we will provide lunch, water and beer. Saturday we will order pizzas and Sunday we will order Chinese food. I will make this as fun as possible and promise to do your next heavy lifting project. Or babysit. Or do your taxes. Whatever. I can also send you home with a free VCR, or a bread maker, bassinets, take your pick. Seriously. I will repay. Repay. repay.
We need to rock this project out while we are still poor and still have small kids in the house. New windows here we come!!
Comment below with which of the four shifts you might be able to help. THANKS!!!!
(we will also be working on Father's day - should you decide that painting or baby wrangling is your expertise. Or you are out of town on the 16th or 17th. Don't want you to feel like you missed out :)

I can help on Sunday. Obviously not the morning shift. 8am? Really?
Katherine is IN! Saturday 8 am - noon. I'm cool with baby wrangling or painting.
Oh! I wish I was able to be there to help this weekend. Im' sending warm wishes.

Sarah! Rachel was so confused all weekend. We did of course meet our minimum Sara(h) quota, but she kept saying where is Sarah K?! She should be here. She is a hard worker. She would help. Where is she??
It was really funny and touching to me that she did know that you are totally amazing and would of course help if you could.
So have no fear. The job is done, you were there in spirit and there were other Sara(h)s there to carry on our good work. :)
That makes me feel so much better - I'm glad you know I was there in spirit! And just read your latest post too - J's mom is one of 13 and dad is one of 10. And both were/are healthy, happy, functioning families. Four? No biggie!
Hugs to all,
Sarah K.
