manners

A is the most polite child on this planet.   We had the little bowl out with the hair ribbons/binders/clips this AM.  She said: "momma, please"  and took the bowl.

Then "I sorry momma, I sorry" as she carefully emptied each piece out of the bowl.  I couldn't figure out why she was apologizing and why on earth she had to take everything out one piece at a time.

Suddenly, she found a rogue pizza topping (the wooden kind) that was in the bowl.  "AhHA! I got it momma, you no worry (hear: Wowwwwy)."

She ran the piece over to the pizza set and then came back to the bowl to tell me "I pick it up.  I put it away.  I sorry I made a mess.  I fix it momma, no worry.  I love you. You welcome momma."

I just want to hug her.  But then, slowly, from the cutest interaction on earth my mind starts to worry and wonder about why she was so concerned about the order of things.  Why does she walk just a little bit up on her toes.  And, when she gets stressed, she flaps her hands. I know what the signs point to.

I am going with cute.  I am going to focus and not to wowwy.  I love my girls.  No wowwies.

Relax, breathe, don't worry. Keep in mind these can also be signs of Type A, middle child, people pleaser, high arches, etc. A loves interacting with people and is very social and engaging...

You do realize that A's granddad shakes his wrist when he gets upset? It's an inherited trait.
